Welcome to Music Of Vinyl!

Hello Everyone,

This is a Jordan Arthur, welcome to my blog musicofvinyl.com

I’m a big analog music freak who has been listening to music on the turntable for the last 55 years.

I am 61, born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Currently, I am living with my wonderful wife Brenda.

I was born to a British father and an American mother, which makes me a British-American. But I call myself a proud American. I graduated with a degree in engineering and worked with different tech consulting firms in the USA.

My mother was a big-time music lover, so our daily family time was to listen to the magical strings of Jimi Hendrix or the iconic “The Beatles” and others on our old RCA Victor record player. From childhood, I enjoyed cleaning and repairing record players with my parents.

I have a collection of some 2000 records that is expanding every year because I still search for unique records in my idle time at record stores and thrift shops.

I have owned different turntables in my life, now I’ve been using AT LP120X and Fluance RT85 for the past many years and they sound pretty nice. I also owned a Denon 47F record player for 37 years.

The recording industry has changed a lot in the last 50 years, from CDs to streaming but my love for vinyl records never faded.

Every year I participate in the annual Record Store Day celebrations and meet many audiophiles also we have a group of analog music lovers where we share our knowledge and experiences.

Now, I am retired and decided to go online to share my knowledge of turntables and vinyl that can help to build your dream hi-fi vinyl stereo audio system.

You can move to our guide section which is updated regularly.
